Hi! I’m a life coach and educator (and mindfulness teacher and digital nomad!) with a special passion for all things time mindset and strategy.

Copying in my entrepreneurial parent’s footsteps, I became an engineer where I suffered from overload, poor self-care, and burnout. I found yoga, reiki, and meditation learning how to pause and take care of myself.

I started my own business helping others have more time for the things they cared about while at the same time serving my personal goal to travel the world and feel free. I made my goal a reality in July of 2020!

Oprah once quoted ‘Surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher’. How important is it to you to surround yourself with the right people?

It’s everything. When I’m around people who focus on what feels impossible, things in my life start to feel impossible. Vice versa, when I’m around folks doing things I would like to do, it becomes so much easier for those things to happen.

For example, meeting other digital nomads helped me see it WAS possible to leave my cubicle and embark on a non-traditional way of living.

Nelson Mandela once quoted – ‘I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.’

What has been one fear you have overcome?

Going after what I want in life–to become an entrepreneur and travel the world.

I feel fear, anxiety, and doubt all the time, and yet I’m writing from a cafe on an island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean off the coast of Morocco.

Tell us what the word “empowerment” means to you?

As a coach, I firmly believe that my clients have the strength, power, and wisdom inside of them to create the things they want. My job is to guide them in discovering everything they need is inside of them.

That being said, the word empowerment, traditionally defined as “authority or power given to someone to do something,” is really me claiming my own power and showing others they have their own power already too.

What has been one of the biggest business ideas you have had and how did you have the courage to implement it?

When I was first getting started as a time management coach, I googled time management coach training. I couldn’t find anything! I told myself one day I’m going to be the first holistic time management certification training in the world.

I’m currently in the process of rolling out the first live program.

Finding the courage to be the one to educate and certify is so different than directly supporting someone in the change. You’re now responsible for the clients your students now serve. I had to dim any impostor syndrome I felt, remind myself of the ripple effect that’s possible, and go for it.

Running your own business can be scary.  Success requires moments of courage to push through to the next level, please tell us one of the moments you have had to push through to take your business to the next level?

Tell us what attributes you feel make a good leader in business today?

Being able to listen to your clients, customers, and the market.

Without solid listening skills, it’s impossible to create offers that resonate, and therefore sell. It’s impossible to give your clients good customer service, therefore increasing word-of-mouth referrals. And most importantly, it’s impossible to be a good leader and human without listening to those around you.

What is your favourite quote about empowerment?

“The time is now!”

There truly is no better time than right now. You have it, so go for it.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

It’s a process. It takes time, so enjoy the process! Have more fun. Breathe. Relax.

Know that your success is inevitable, so you don’t have to rush.

Your one day is already happening around you, so take it in and enjoy it all.

What would be one (1) question you would you ask the person who most inspires you? Also share with us about this person and why they inspire you?

I would ask, “What’s your secret to living?”

Everyone has their own secret to living, and I love asking this of everyone I meet. I love seeing people’s reactions and responses. And I think almost everyone I meet inspires me in some way!
