Emily Rogers – I empower women to be the leader in their own lives.

I’m a transition and leadership coach for individuals and organizations ready to show up the way they have always desired.

Whether women in leadership positions or stay at home mums who put their career on hold, they wonder if there isn’t more they ought to be doing with their lives.

Drawing on my experience and the frameworks developed as a senior HR leader across multiple industries, I now empower women to be the leader in their own lives.

I am passionate about providing clarity and developing an action plan to see you finally living the life you want.

Thank you for joining us here at The Corporate Escapists. Please introduce yourself to our reader. They love to know about you, your passion, and how you came to find and follow your passion.

As a mum who gave up my career to focus on my family as we moved countries and subsequently launched my own business, I understand the multiple demands that can lead to feeling overwhelmed and a loss of confidence.
Bob Proctor once quoted ‘To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing”. How important is it to you to have the belief within one’s self?

Too many women struggle with their mindset, when the reality is having belief in yourself is the key to everything. For me, it’s taking time to recognise when things are hard and adjusting, but also pausing to celebrate when things are going well.
Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?

To be an entrepreneur is to create your own reality. For me it is having the opportunity and the power to live my life on my terms. To show up for my clients, but to balance my family at the same time. No corporate role provides that amount or power.
What has been one of the biggest business ideas you have had and how did you have the trust and hope within yourself to implement it?

Creating The Vision Lab has been hugely impactful. It is a process that delivers incredible, life changing results for my clients. Creating it relied on trusting my gut instincts, but also being guided by my clients. That level of trust requires a deep faith in yourself and the powers beyond ourselves.
Running your own business can be scary.  Success requires moments of trust and hope to push through to the next level. Tell us one of the moments you have had to push through to take your business to the next level?

When dad died I couldn’t be with him due to closed borders. Dealing with his loss, prompted me to realise I needed to make changes. Rebranding and relaunching my business has significantly shifted the business and me, I feel like he’s guided me through this.
What is your favourite quote about inspiration?

It will all be ok in the end, if it’s not OK it’s not the end.
– John Lennon
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

Don’t allow your fears to stop you, you have a unique offering and there are people out there who need what you’re doing. Just focus on the next right step, what is the next right thing for you to do, make that happen and keep going.
