Katie knows the theory of business. She can give the lowdown on visions and missions, budgets and projections, profit margins, and sales funnels with the best of them. The difference is, Katie took that theory and put it into action.

Katie Turner stepped out from behind her desk, turned away from a safe corporate career and backed herself, to embark on her own business adventure. She has ridden the Entrepreneur’s rollercoaster for the last 20 years to build not one, but multiple successful businesses.

Katie is a natural born leader with a strong belief in empowering others through education. These qualities are the secret of her success as a Lecturer and Presenter. A long list of high level sporting institutions have sought her skills in education and training, including, the NSW Institute of Sport, Australian College of Physical Education, FIAFitnation, as well as the Penrith Panthers, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Swans and GWS Giants.

Confident to present through any medium, Katie also co-hosted The Fitness Show on Bondi Radio, using the airwaves to reduce noise, cut through the crap and present facts on the business of fitness. The show broadcasted live with guest fitness professionals talking job passion, business journeys and future trends.

The culmination of these two decades of business knowledge, real world experience and mentoring passion gave rise to Katie’s latest business venture, Katie Turner Media. The focal point of KTM is a Dynamic Business Strategy Session, but that is just the start… KTM introduces Katie the Business Concierge. Not only does Katie help business newbies or those looking to take business to the next level, pinpoint where they are now, where they want to go and how they are going to get there, she also connects them with tried and trusted professional services. With this unique Business Concierge Service, business owners do not need to learn every lesson the hard way or source every service the long way, Katie has done the hard yards and surmounted – or charged through, the hurdles herself, saving them time and money.

In early 2022 after a 7 year journey with a product design team, Katie launched her most recent business, Buckle Bandage. A product drawn from a burn experience her daughter had traumatically undergone at the hands of a hot car seat belt. With no available solutions Katie went about solving the problem herself, adhering to ALL Australian car seat safety legislation, environment sustainability as a primary pillar and on a mission to reduce hot car seat burns in children Buckle Bandage was born.

As Katie’s quest for knowledge and connection is continual, KTM also features a Podcast ‘Switch Your Sitch’. Katie has sought out people who have taken a leap of faith, made a change, or are amidst the chaos of doing so, and invited them to share their passion, story and perspective in a raw, uncut and often entertaining conversation.
