I am the founder of Life Architekture and a life coach with the focus on mindfulness and personal development
I worked as an engineer in Germany and got promoted fairly early in my career. Despite the material success, I felt empty inside. This was the turning point for me, where I didn’t want to continue down a path just to meet other people’s expectations.
I played out two scenarios in my head. In the first one, I keep climbing the corporate ladder even though I know it’s not even the ladder I want to climb. I would use material success to compensate for the emptiness in my life. Alternatively, I could embark on the adventure of my life, betting on myself and using my sense of purpose as the compass to guide me on where to go. I chose the second one.
Taking full responsibilities of my own (professional and also symbolically personal) life.
1. It takes time to achieve the desired results. Make sure to calculate the risks properly.
2. It’s about acquiring skills, and there are many of them. Therefore, accept feelings of inferiority with humility; they are a sign that you are on the right path.
3. Base your self-worth not on being right but on your willingness to learn.
“My Mess is My Message”. I want to share my experience to as many people as possible.
“I reflected on my own life and found out, through research and conversations with as many resources as possible, that the issue of not living a life aligned with one’s core values is not as rare as I had hoped it would be.
No matter how hard you hit them, your dreams never die. You’ve merely stunned them. And when you’re on your deathbed, they will awaken as regrets.
Start now. You will learn the lessons along the way. The feeling of ‘I need to learn XYZ first’ is just your fear wearing the mask of perfectionism.
