Hanna Rauch – I’m committed to helping you achieve social media success sustainably.

I’m Hanna Rauch, a Social Media Strategist and Consultant who helps businesses all over the world to stand out online. With a Master’s degree in marketing and 4 years of experience in the field, I’m not your average Instagram guru who promises unachievable results overnight. I stand for authentic and sustainable marketing.

In 2020 (yep, in the middle of the pandemic), my partner and I decided to quit our soul sucking jobs in Europe and move to New Zealand. I have since then run my own marketing business, managed more than 20 social media pages and coached over 300 entrepreneurs.

Thank you for joining us here at The Corporate Escapists. Please introduce yourself to our reader. They love to know about you, your passion, and how you came to find and follow your passion.

After graduating from university, I started my first “adult” job in market research but soon understand that commuting and working in an unfulfilling job was not for me. I felt that I was wasting my creative potential and decided to start my own social media marketing business instead.
Oprah once quoted ‘You are where you are in your life, based on what you believe. If you’re not looking at the shadows, what is subconsciously telling yourself you’re not good enough, not worthy enough, not smart enough…you’re not enough, you end up acting out of THAT belief system, and not of what you want to be the truest for yourself.’ Please share, how important is it to you to have the belief within ones self?

Believing in yourself is probably the most important and at the same time most difficult skill to learn as an entrepreneur. When you just start out, you need to show people that you believe in yourself first and everyone else will follow.
Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?

Being an entrepreneur to me means doing things my way. Not being confined to rules someone in a suit & tie has made up. Working with clients who are pursuing their passion projects. Planning my day in a flexible way. And doing things that don’t actually feel like work.
How has the life of being an entrepreneur, changed you?

Before becoming my own boss, I would get the Sunday scaries. I would dread going to work and felt like I was wasting my potential. Now I am excited to start work every day and I get to meet the most inspiring people who have taught me so much.
Share you thoughts on the importance of business owners to be a leader in their own life and ensure they have a work/life balance?

As an entrepreneur, nobody will stop you from working or encourage you to take a break. That’s why it’s important to set strict boundaries with yourself, enforce them vigorously and schedule some downtime that will fill up your cup. Sometimes, resting is the most productive thing you can do.
What is your favourite quote about “following your dreams”?

“Always remember that your dream was planted in your heart for a reason.”
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

Three things: First of all, do it. It will be the most rewarding experience of your life. Secondly, don’t take advice from people who aren’t where you want to go or haven’t achieved what you want to achieve. And thirdly, don’t give up when things get hard.
