Tracy Fance – My Life Has Been My Apprenticeship

Oprah once quoted ‘You’ve got to follow your passion – You’ve got to figure out what it is you love – who you really are. And have the courage to do that. I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dreams.” Please share, how you had the courage to follow your own dreams.

Some people are born with a label for their passion such as doctor or actor, others are born with a theme, mine is ‘healer’ which can be pursued in many ways. If I’d stayed in financial services I’d have had to do the equivilant of a degree. I knew I did not want to do that & had started to retrain, I could see a recession looming so decided to start my own business, which turned out to be great intuitive insight.

Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?

What has been the biggest lesson you have learned from being an entrepreneur?

To be adaptable – adapt or die!

What inspired you to start your own business, and how did you go about identifying a need in the market that your business could address?

There’s always a need for guidance, even in the good times there are people not having a good time. I decided if I was going to work hard, it needed to benefit me and my family, not some CEO.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

Do it! Dream it, think it, plan it then go for it.
