Her life experience is an attestation to her belief. She was growing up as a minority trifecta, woman, Catholic, and Chinese in a tiny town of Indonesia. Despite her successful corporate career, she had experienced workplace bullying, sexual harassment, and in multiple toxic relationships.

Do you ever look at your life as a list box that you need to tick off? Deep down you believe that when you tick all boxes, everything will be perfect and unlock a secret vault containing a happiness fountain and fulfillment of your childhood dream.
I did! Others saw me as the luckiest girl alive because I had all those boxes ticked out. But the truth was I denied myself, which built up rage inside me. Because I did everything I could to be like a wind-up doll. Simply turn my key and I’ll tell you exactly what you want to hear! But, an approximation of honesty to your soul will never cut it!
I was desperately searching for what I truly wanted… where I could belong. A serene space where I can just be me, be loved and accepted just for who I am, no matter what.
Oprah once quoted ‘You are where you are in your life, based on what you believe. If you’re not looking at the shadows, what is subconsciously telling yourself you’re not good enough, not worthy enough, not smart enough…you’re not enough, you end up acting out of THAT belief system, and not of what you want to be the truest for yourself.””. How important is it to you to have the belief within ones self?
Very important as we are the creator of our own realities. I also know that our childhood conditioning and societal norms are greatly responsible for how we experience our life. Perfectionism is one of the coping mechanisms for not feeling good enough because we couldn’t meet others’ expectations. From my personal experience, I strived hard to be validated as good enough by learning more, doing more, and achieving more.
Unfortunately, the goalpost is unreachable as there is no absolute measure to be good enough. And it got advanced as we progressed closer. That was my experience over ten years ago when I had burnout from working as a corporate accountant for one of the Australian blue chip companies.
Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?
An entrepreneur is an expression of our soul and leaves a legacy by making an impact on humanity.
How have you been able to incorporate self care in your life?
Definitely! After a painful experience of burnout, self-care became my top priority. We cannot give out from an empty cup.
Share you thoughts on the importance of business owners to be a leader in their own life and ensure they have a work/life balance?
Without having a work / life balance will result in burnout. And a burnout person will not perform her / his best in being a great leader. Also, neglecting our own needs is a form of self-abuse, which is not a great way to teach others how to treat ourselves.
What is your favourite quote about inspiration?
Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open? As you start to walk on the way, the way appears. by Rumi
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?
Don’t hesitate to take the most rewarding path! The only regret that you should have is the regret of not trying. The calling to be a business owner is a whisper from your soul to evolve higher spiritually.
