As the GM of an ASX listed advertising agency in 2020, my nervous system was shot and health wasn’t a priority. When the pandemic hit, I became conscious of living more cleanly and with greater balance. I have twins who were 3 at the time and were basically licking everything! I’ve always used natural products where possible, but it was during this time that I paid particular attention to the nasty ingredients in everyday items.
It prompted a curiosity to source easy life hacks and elegant product swaps to remove as many unnecessary chemicals and toxins that we are exposed to daily.

I’m Mummy to 6 year old twins (Gussy & Lula) who are my motivation for launching the toxin free living brand, St Agnes Rituals. We’re city dwellers with all the modern conveniences that entails, but I want them grow up in a home that is as toxin free as possible.
Bob Proctor once quoted ‘To believe in the things you can see and touch is no belief at all. But to believe in the unseen is both a triumph and a blessing”. How important is it to you to have the belief within one’s self?
I believe that anyone who starts a business must have a self-belief that they are offering something of value to the world. That belief will be tested and undoubtedly waver from time to time, but it will also define your values and be the foundation of your resilience.
Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?
Everyone calls themselves an entrepreneur now. It no longer belongs to a big business tycoon, but I also don’t think it belongs to the Etsy store owner either. Rightly or wrongly, my definition is a multi-business owner who has repeated proven success in driving growth and building companies.
What has been one of the biggest business ideas you have had and how did you have the trust and hope within yourself to implement it?
St Agnes Rituals was born from a personal desire to remove toxins from our home; but it’s also backed by research to support that the wellness category is expecting 10% growth annually, reaching $7trillion in 2025. I saw a way to offer something different in this category!
Running your own business can be scary. Success requires moments of trust and hope to push through to the next level. Tell us one of the moments you have had to push through to take your business to the next level?

What is your favourite quote about inspiration?
It’s more of a motto than a quote: If you’re not obsessed with your life, then change it.
We all have some control over the influences in our lives. If a job, person, place or thing doesn’t serve you – if it makes you feel less than or sucks your energy, then it’s not in alignment. Bring in what fills you up and makes you bounce out of bed every morning for!
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?
There has never been a better, easier, less expensive time to set up your own business. With a computer and WIFI, you can get free resources and training to do almost anything. You simply need passion, see an unmet need in the market, and a way to differentiate yourself.
