Thank you for joining us here at The Corporate Escapists. Please introduce yourself to our reader. They love to know about you, your passion, and how you came to find and follow your passion.

I am super-active mum of three kids who has always loved adventure and taking well-thought out risks in sport and life.
Oprah once quoted ‘You are where you are in your life, based on what you believe. If you’re not looking at the shadows, what is subconsciously telling yourself you’re not good enough, not worthy enough, not smart enough…you’re not enough, you end up acting out of THAT belief system, and not of what you want to be the truest for yourself.””. How important is it to you to have the belief within ones self?

Belief in myself is the core of how I ‘go forth’ in the world. Anytime belief in myself falters, I become completely uncentered and find myself in a horrible space. I work hard to get myself back on track with my self-belief, reminding myself that all my successes have been my own, all my qualifications, any licences and awards I’ve earned, it’s all been myself in the driver’s seat.
Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?

How have you been able to incorporate self care in your life?

Share your thoughts on the importance of business owners to be a leader in their own life and ensure they have a work/life balance?

I see leaders in business and often notice when they’re work-a-holics, not only working long hours but talking constantly about work at night, weekends and on vacation . It’s difficult with big responsibilities, lots of employees and money invested but we also only get one shot at life.

True leadership in business is modelling ‘putting down the pen’ from time to time, getting time in nature and doing what you love as well as work. Having hobbies and being available to loved ones. Otherwise what are we getting up in the morning and working towards?
What is your favourite quote about inspiration?

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

If you have a business idea, treat it like naming your newborn, don’t ask everyone for their opinion. Only ask people you consider mentors, the people who can help you on your journey. There will be plenty who will try to dissuade you. You’ve seen a niche and decided to go for it and that is enough.
