Janine Leghissa – Building A Multi-Million Dollar Business With A Chronic Illness

Hello there! I’m Janine, a proud mother of three, and I’ve worn many hats throughout my life. I find great joy in running successful online stores, where I can indulge my creativity by designing unique products while also managing the business side of things.

Oprah once quoted ‘You’ve got to follow your passion – You’ve got to figure out what it is you love – who you really are. And have the courage to do that. I believe that the only courage anybody ever needs is the courage to follow your own dreams.” Please share, how you had the courage to follow your own dreams.

Tell us what the word “Entrepreneur” means to you?

What has been the biggest lesson you have learned from being an entrepreneur?

Being an entrepreneur has been an incredible teacher. It has shown me the power of resilience in facing challenges, the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing world, and the fact that everything is workoutable.

What inspired you to start your own business, and how did you go about identifying a need in the market that your business could address?

Apart from needing to make an income, I had a genuine desire to bring joy to people’s lives. By actively listening and paying attention to what the target market I was after wanted, both their frustrations and desires. I set out to create a solution that would address those problems and provide a product that would delight them.

What is your favourite quote about “following your dreams”?

“Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start their own business?

My advice would be to understand exactly who your customer is and create something that they really want. Then, put it right in front of them, any way you can.
